The concept of metal-free prostheses has resulted in strong criticism in this regard, because they are made with errors and their use has been abused. Even in the beginning, erroneous comments were made about the fact that flexible prostheses massaged the gum and bone in such a way that bone resorption was not caused. This concept, now understood, does not offer any scientific support.

Partial Flex® is an excellent alternative to avoid the excessive use of metal, taking into account the importance of leaving a balanced occlusion, eliminating ischemic areas when the prosthesis is inserted, avoiding the use of retainers in each abutment tooth, understanding that the guides of Insertions are those that allow us retention, and not retainers or hooks.
